The 12th Governing Council of the University of Jos has directed the immediate implementation of the Federal Government approved school charges of Forty-Five Thousand Naira (N45,000) for all Federal Universities.

Ooni of Ilè-Ife honored.

Recently did Igbinedion University Okada award the Ooni of Ife Oba Adeyeye Eniitan Ogunwusi with Horary Doctorate Degree in Law. Also accorded with the prestigious Igbinedion University Honorary degrees were Mr. Nabegu Aminu Baba, Managing Director, Nabegu Investment Limited as well as Pastor Osarenren Ighiwi, Chairman Egba Community in Edo State both with Doctor in Business Administration.

The event took place during the institution’s 14th Convocation which also witnessed 50 academic graduands who were awarded higher degrees ranging from Post-Graduate Diploma to Master’s degrees and Doctorate Degrees from the School of Postgraduate Studies and Research of Igbinedion University Okada.

Various speeches were given as executives addressed the crowd, highlighting prospectives for the University. Added were goodwill messages from various institutions and Governmental bodies including Benson Idahosa University, Adeleke University, office of the Chief of Army Staff, Office of the Chief of Naval staff, Office of the Governor of Imo State, the AIG zone 5 and many others.

We are using this medium to inform the general public and all interested applicants that the UNILAG 2016/2017 DLI Screening Exercise has been slated to commence on Monday, 10th to Friday 21st April, 2017 in DLI Block A, Rooms 2 & 3, at 8.00a.m. daily.

Screening Procedures

Stage 1: Uploading of Documents for those who have not done so already.

Applicants who have not uploaded the under-listed documents should do so unfailingly before they proceed for the screening:

Testimonial (Secondary/Primary)
Birth Certificate/Sworn Affidavit that predates the admissions advertisment.
O’ Level Certificate/All other Qualifications
NYSC Certificate/NYSC Exemption Certificate for Direct Entry candidates.
Marriage Certificates and Newspaper classification that predates the admissions advertisment (Married female only).

Stage 2: Screening

Applicants are expected to proceed to the Distance Learning Institute (DLI), University of Lagos for screening and come along with two copies each of the above-listed documents to the Screening Officer.

Important Notice

Applicants shall not be less than 21 years of age by 31st December, 2017 (Baseline date is 31st December, 1995).
Please note that Police Report/Affidavit is not acceptable in place of any claimed missing certificate.
Certificate and not statement of results slips are acceptable for WASCE/SSCE/GCE/NECO results obtained before 2008.
Coloured online printout results slips are acceptable for WASCE/SSCE/GCE/NECO results obtained after 2008.

Screening Schedules

Mondays to Wednesdays – All applicants whose surname starts with letters A–M

Thursdays to Saturdays – All applicants whose surname starts with letters N-Z

Orientation was set 9AM today but actually kicked off 12PM (Based on Nigerian Time 😁). Nothing much was deliberated, just how students should go about their Industrial Training and how logbooks would be assessed.
